Our Store Policies for Mail-Order and Internet Purchases
About Our Policies:
- Our policies are an important part of how we do business and you should know what they are. Our primary goal is to serve you in a manner that will develop and maintain your long term goodwill. These policies are designed to facilitate this goal by being fair, customary and realistic.
- Our policies reflect our varied and complex products, services and customers.
- Please do not let our policies inhibit you from communicating with us, about anything for any reason.
- Purchases made through our retail store are covered by a similar, separate set of policies that are posted in the store.
1. Return Goods Policy
Our Return Goods Policy provides an opportunity for you to return merchandise (goods) purchased from Canoga Camera ("the Store"), through our Internet site, for a full refund or credit under the following conditions:
- Customer must get a "Return Goods Authorization (RGA) Number" from the Store prior to shipping goods for return.
- Goods must arrive at the Store with the RGA Number clearly printed on the outside of the shipping box or on the shipping label. Do not write on the packaging for products being returned. Improperly labeled boxes will be refused at shipper's expense.
- All returned goods must be received by the Store in the same condition as sold. The product(s), included accessories, documentation and packaging must all be in NEW condition, unblemished, unaltered and complete as originally packaged. Warranty Cards must be blank. All items that were sealed must be returned as sold; sealed, unopened and intact.
- Products that can be registered, online or otherwise, for warranty and/or other purposes must be unregistered.
- Cameras with shutter counters must show less than 200 exposures.
- Customer assumes responsibility for return shipping. There will be no refunds for shipping or handling costs.
- Goods with either a serial number and/or costing more than $200 each must be shipped within 15 days after having been received.
- Goods without a serial number and costing less than $200 each must be shipped within 30 days after having been received.
- No full refunds (if any) on special orders, closeouts, quantity purchases, large transactions of $5,000 or more, goods exchanged for prior return, or purchases for industrial, commercial, or resale purposes.
- No full refunds (if any) for items returned to our retail store without prior authorization.
- A MINIMUM 10% restocking charge will apply to all returns accepted that do not fully comply with the above conditions.
- Absolutely NO REFUNDS or RETURNS will be allowed for PERISHABLES or consumable items such as Film, Photo Paper, Chemicals, Batteries, Bulbs, Video Tape, Compressed Air Cans, opened Software or Memory Cards.
- GOVERNING LAW
This sale is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict or choice of law provisions. Customer acknowledges and agrees that California is an appropriate place for venue of any litigation and that California courts have jurisdiction over this sale and customer. Venue and jurisdiction for all disputes will lie in LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA.

Back to top 2. Warranty on New Products
Where applicable, Canoga Camera is an authorized USA dealer and purchase direct through factory authorized USA distributors. New products include a manufacturer's (U.S.A.) warranty. For your protection, we do not sell "gray-market" or "direct import" products.
We only sell goods of recognized manufacturers under their respective brand and trade names in accordance with their terms and conditions. The Store gives no warranty or guarantee, expressed or implied, as to merchantability, fitness for any particular purpose or otherwise. The Store shall not under any circumstances be liable for any special, direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages to person or property arising out of or connected to the sale of goods. The Store shall use its best efforts to obtain for the buyer from the manufacturer, in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty or customary practices, the repair or replacement of goods that may prove defective in material or workmanship. The buyer will bear all shipping and handling cost for returning products to the manufacturer or its designate. The foregoing shall constitute the exclusive remedy of the buyer and the sole obligation of the Store.

3. Warranty on Used Products
We feel you can benefit greatly by purchasing used products (merchandise) from our Store because we limit resales to that which; 1) fits in to our specialty, "imaging", and 2) we are familiar with. We use our expertise to save you time and money. Additionally, if you are dissatisfied for any reason with your purchase of a "Used" or "Demo" item, you may return it as you received it within 15-days for a full refund or exchange credit. See Return Goods Policy above for details.
The Store offers a Limited Warranty on Used Goods that are returned within 90-days after receipt in accordance with our Return Goods Policy above. This Warranty is limited to a significant defect in the normal operation. The defect must not have been observable within the first 15 days after receipt. The Store will not be responsible for defects caused by any kind of abuse or abnormal use. All goods described "AS-IS" are not covered by this warranty, but may be returned for a refund within 15-days as provided above. The Store will, at its discretion, repair, replace or refund the purchase price of an item covered by this 90-day warranty.
Otherwise, the Store gives no warranty or guarantee, expressed or implied, as to merchantability of any USED product sold or its fitness for any particular purpose.

4. Warranty on Services
The services (such as, but not limited to, repairs and photofinishing) sold by the Store are provided by independent and trusted sources in accordance with their terms and conditions. The Store gives no warranty or guarantee, expressed or implied, as to quality, fitness for any particular purpose or otherwise. The Store shall not, under any circumstances, be liable for any special, direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages to person or property arising out of or connected with any services sold or provided through the Store. The Store shall use its best effort to obtain for the buyer from the source, in accordance with the source's warranty or customary practices, the correction or rework ("REDO") of a service that may prove defective or unsatisfactory in workmanship or material. The foregoing shall constitute the exclusive remedy of the buyer and the sole obligation of the Store.
Photofinishing services are also covered by a separate "LIMIT OF LIABILITY". A copy is available at the Store upon request and is usually printed on the customer's envelope claim check. This "LIMIT OF LIABILITY" is customary and applies to all parties, including the Store.

5. Pricing Policy
It is our intention to offer you HIGHLY COMPETITIVE price, service and selection of the products and services that we offer for sale.
Although we strive to maintain the same prices both in our retail store and website, there will be some differences. For those who purchase from us both ways, we ask you to accept these few differences as necessary in order to maintain the expected level of service. For example, we offer quantity discounts to our retail customers on Film and Filters that are reflected in our Internet pricing. In order to get Internet prices on these items in our Retail Store, you need to purchase (3) three or more of the same item.

6. Shipping Information
- We ship by United Parcel Service (UPS) to the 50 United States of America only.
- Shipments require delivery confirmation at the address where they are sent.
- Orders with a value of $1,000 or more are shipped with an "Adult (age 21) Signature Required" for delivery.
- Delivery addresses will not be changed once the package has shipped.
- Packages can not be rerouted or picked up from UPS.
- Orders can be tracked on our website by logging on to your account. We do not provide UPS Tracking numbers at this time.
- We strive to ship most orders on the same or next business day when they are placed by 2:00 PM, Monday thru Friday.
- UPS picks-up and delivers on most business days.

- All orders are subject to verification before shipping.
- We ship to USA street addresses that the cardholder’s issuing bank verifies as the billing address.
- Alternate shipping addresses will be considered on a case by case basis.
- We do not ship to PO or APO boxes, UPS Stores, or other similar non-street addresses.
- We do not ship to hotels or hospitals.
- Allow additional time for verification on all orders.
- Out-of-stock products on an order are usually backordered.
- Products that are out-of-stock are usually backordered and shipped separately from in-stock items, as they become available, by UPS Ground (to the 48 lower states) at no additional shipping charge.
- Backordered products shipped to Alaska or Hawaii are usually cancelled if the original order is not shipped complete.
- We may ship out-of-stock products directly from the manufacturer or distributor to expedite your order.
- Customers may place a separate order for out-of-stock products to be shipped as available using any of the offered shipping methods and their respective rates.
- We do not charge for out-of-stock (backordered) products until we ship them.
- Backordered products may be cancelled prior to shipping by either the customer or Canoga Camera.
- Orders can be tracked by signing into your "My Account". Tracking information is usually available by the next morning (approx. 10am Pacific Time) after the order is shipped.
6. Sales Tax
If your order is shipped to a location within the State of California, the law requires that sales tax be added to the order total, including the amount of any shipping and handling, taxable discounts, rebates or incentives offered or paid to us by third parties.
California sales tax is due at the rate effective on the day the order is delivered. This amount may differ from the sales tax on the order and we will make the adjustment to the sales tax on the day the order is invoiced.
OTHERWISE, ALL SALES ARE CONSIDERED FINAL.
