The Problem With Other Hot Lights
Continuous lights are commonly referred to as the "hot lights" because they tend to produce a great deal of heat. These "hot" lights can limit the types of subjects you are able to photograph. The high heat levels are often uncomfortable for models. Objects that are heat-sensitive, like chocolates, flowers or ice cream, can be rendered useless after several minutes under a "hot" light.
The Starlite Advantage
With the Starlight, extended photo shoots will not result in wilted subjects. The Starlite's housing was carefully engineered to allow air-flow through channels running along the entire lengths of unit.
